moon boots aka peter dougherty veröffentlicht sein erstes album für anjunadeep. ursprünglich aus brooklyn stammend, machte er seine ersten schritte zunächst in chicago, inspiriert durch legenden wie derrick carter und frankie knuckles, auf dem label french express. prominente unterstützung fand er durch bbc radio 1s annie mac und kcrws jason bentley, so dass er schnell eine internationale fangemeinde etablieren konnte. sein durchbruch gelang auf anjunadeep mit dem track -red sky-, der von tensnake, skream, claude vonstroke, tiga und vielen anderen gespielt wurde. auf seinem debütalbum -first landing- zeigt er die ganze bandbreite seines könnens und liefert von klassischem us-house mit funk- und soul-einflüssen über electronica, sonnigen r&b bis hin zu launischen dancefloor-tracks eine übergangslos runde mischung ab. gastbeiträge stammen von fiora, lulu james, janelle kroll, king kona, nic hanson und black gatsby.

yandom are not new to the scene. but then again they are. the project has been kicked off by yannick labbe and dominik marz, already renowned producers and djs before they decided to join forces in in january of 2017 with their remix for dekodeko on leipzig-based label ors. yandoms productions are discoid excursions to the dark side a sound spanning from leftfield italo-esque productions to straight up techno-bangers. a sound already loved and played by artists like michael mayer, solomun, kornel kovacs and many more. at the moment, yandom are working on eps following their next release on &nd music (scheduled for september 2017). as djs, yandom deliver an infectious and very musical freestyleapproach, dropping anything from techno to vintage classics and held together by a strong foundation of electronica. a yandom-set is anything but random and yes, they do look as good in reality as on the photos.

tangerine dream have been a fundamental influence on electronic and progressive music since their formation in west berlin, 1967. inspiring genres, musicians and other art forms, from the future sound of london to porcupine tree, the widely popular tv show stranger things (for which their music also featured in) to seminal video game grand theft auto v (for which they helped to write the soundtrack). the group, led by edgar froese, have received seven grammy nominations, written over 100 studio albums and developed instantly recognisable synth-based instrumental music based on a meditative musical experience, that came to prominence in the 70s and 80s.
the new album, quantum gate features an updated, contemporary development of their trademark sound: sequencer-driven electronica covering a wide range of moods and atmospheres from ambient soundscapes to energetic, upbeat moments.

headed by a carioca who was blessed with the name of his own city, moodisco contains a 3-track bomb from leo janeiro with doc label boss gui boratto and a very special remix by french act rodriguez jr. this could just be a happy coincidence, were itÆs not for the fact that leoÆs trajectory made him a protagonist of the electronic music scene in his hometown, rio de janeiro. he built a career dedicated to music. in a city with so many daytime attractions, it is the night and electronic music that has been blessed with his talent. he has compiled an impressive list of residencies and performances globally. known as one of the ambassadors for brazilian electronic music, leo has the ability to combine originality to a universal language. just like his hometown. on this limited edition vinyl and digital release, leo janeiro, gui boratto and rodriguez jr. presents a serious track sequence of techno and house beats. each artist has kept its own trademark. öi had a lot of ideas and one of them was to have a remix by an artist that i admire, respect and have a personal relationshipö, says leo janeiro. rodriguez jr. (oliver mateu), shared his unique talent creating a remix for moodisco. he is the one half of french electro act the youngsters û best known for their two studio albums and singles for laurent garnierÆs label. rodriguez jr. reveals a different incarnation of mateuÆs musical psyche, moving through shimmering, contemplative electronica, to deep and urgent techno, leftfield melodic accents and quirky pop refrains. a perfect blend for this project. moodisco is a combination of artists and friends on the move. they are tireless in enthusiasm and are bursting with new tunes and projects. a straight punch ep release with serious beats, deep melodies and the synth keys we just love to listen over and over!

this summer, the left of centre electronica label greco-roman hits its stride and celebrates 10 years of music. and to celebrate they are reissuing their biggest dance floor records and remixes on a series of ltd edition 12”s.

another smasher from nous, this time courtesy of cofaxx, aka joseph magee and his boundlessly breathtaking pico vu ep, a seven tracker that manages to cover immense ground and knowledge within a compact narrative. and each track is a mandatory component of this cleverly assembled story with startling standouts such as dicey a deep detroity piece, layering into a sound signaturey space, while la s seasoned producer brown irvin closes side 1 with a bolshier bash at opening track tide pool s ambient, semi-conscious swirlings. over on the flip velvet is all golden era electronica stylings, early days warp and planet e on a lingering dinner date, while shape to fade in s smoky textures straddle irridescent sounds for a not-out-of-place jazzy backroom style builder.
